A couple of months ago I sent out a "Conaway Family Newsletter". I figured I'd update everybody on what's been going on in our world. If you didn't receive a newsletter in the mail I apologize. Here's the content of the newsletter:
First of all, the Air Force has got me for another four years. Yes, Ben and I were both going to separate from the Air Force, and yes, we were planning to move back to Chicago, but plans change.
As most of you probably know I'm pregnant!!!!!! And it's a boy!!!!! I'm 27 weeks/6 months. I'm beyond excited, and so is Ben, because he's going to have a little mini-me hanging out with him.
When we found out that we were pregnant, we decided it would be best for the growing family for one of us to re-enlist. I happen to really like my job, and I'd like to make a career out of the work I'm doing now. So I re-enlisted to get some more experience and make some good money to take care of baby. Ben is out of the Air Force now, and is reading up on how to be a good stay-at-home dad. In between changing diapers, he is going to take some classes online, and ideally when the kids (we want a total of 2) are in school, he will go back to work in a hands-on sort of field like an electrician or carpenter.
Our baby boy will be born around July 20th; that is my due date, so hopefully we'll get to meet him around then. And, hopefully, the rest of our family and friends will get to meet him around then as well, as we will be living in Maryland at the time, which is A LOT closer than Hawaii. I recently changed my duty station from Hawaii to Fort Meade, Maryland. Fort Meade is located between Baltimore and Washington D.C.
When we get all settled in, EVERYONE is invited and highly encouraged to visit us. If you want to wait until the baby is born, we understand, but after that, you have no excuse. Make a weekend road trip out of it or something like that. We'd love to see everyone who can make it, and so will baby. You can expect a change of address with all of our new info by mid April when we get situated in our new place.
