Hello Everyone! Long time no blog, huh? Time is going by too quickly. I have so much to say, so little time...
Coleman is getting so big! He's eating tons of new food these days. He doesn't have teeth yet but we've been giving him soft pieces of bread and Gerber puffs in addition to his baby food (and breast milk of course). He loves it! His favorites are definitely bananas, pears and puffs. He eats veggies without a problem but he doesn't seem to be crazy about them. And he can't stand meat...I think it's a texture thing.
He's not crawling in the traditional way, but he sure can get from point A to point B quickly. He gets up on all fours all the time but not to crawl. He uses a combination of scooting and rolling instead. He can sit up like a pro and has been doing so for some time now.
He says "DaDa" all the time. When he's not saying that he's saying "BaBa" or "GaGa." And only when he's cranky, fussy or crying (which isn't often) will he say "MaMa." Go figure!
Coleman's personality is the best. He's always smiling and laughing. And he's very social these days. He loves getting attention from anyone. I can't believe he's almost 9 months old already.
Ben and I are training for the April 25th Nashville Country Music Marathon. We're meeting up with my cousins to run the races. Ben's running the half marathon (13.1 miles) and I'm running the full marathon (26.2 miles). On Saturday I did my longest training run ever, 15 miles! It felt great. I still have a lot of training to do before the marathon but I feel confident I'll be ready.
Scout and Smokey are up to the same old stuff. They love walk and park time. Spring is right around the corner so the squirrels and groundhogs are just now starting to pop up. Scout and Smokey are gearing up for hunting season...just kidding.
Hope everyone is doing well.
