This post is in memory of my mother, Margaret Ann. July 28, 2008, marked the 20 year anniversary of her passing. And today, July 31, would have been her birthday. I didn't have the pleasure of getting to know her as an adult, though I wish I had. Even still I know she was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. And she's missed very much by all of us that loved her.
I am home in heaven, dear ones;
Oh so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in God's own land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gently call you Home;
Oh the rapture of that meeting,
Oh the joy to see you come!

Caitlin, It is the hardest thing in the world to loose your Mother!! I can only imagine your thoughts of her through the years. I was fortunate enough to have my Mother through my adulthood. But oh, how I miss my precious Mother, it never stops. Your Mom gave you a special gift that you are passing on to your son. I'm so thankful you, Ben and Coleman are in my life.
Thanks for that Caitlin. I wish we all could have gotten to know her better.
i know your mom is looking down on her beautiful daughter with such pride and joy at the wonderful woman you are!
Caitlin....these pix are amazing at first even though the pix look old I thought they were you!! Your mom was ever bit as beautiful as you, inside and out. What a proud Grandma she is:) It's crazy that you did not grow up with the benifit of her grace and yet you are the spitting image. I was just talking about Peggy to a friend the other day, it's mind blowing that it has been 20 years. What a tremendious loss. I will never ever forget her. It seems to me the Good Lord is blessing you thru your mother!! Keep your eye on the path it looks like you know the way! Love you all, Aunt Kiki
P.S. Coleman is Perfect!
