Sorry for the Delay...

Aloha Everyone! I'm so sorry I haven't updated this blog in so long. Quite a bit has happened in the last 2 months (including Ben growing all of his hair back).

I just wanted to share with everyone what I found today:

FOUND DOG!
Date Found: October 2, 2007
Area Found: Near Corner of Kolowaka Dr and Kapolei Pkwy
Description: Small Male Blonde Terrier Mix

This dog is so adorable. He came up to Scout and me while we were at the park this morning. He was very timid yet he didn't want to leave us. I waited awhile thinking his owner was going to run down the street at any minute yelling his name. But noone came for him.

So I took him to the vet's office with hopes that he had a microchip in his neck. If he had that chip in his neck it would only take seconds before we knew who his owner was. But, unfortunately, he didn't have a microchip.

After I took him to the vet I called the Humane Society and placed a found dog report. I didn't feel like that was enough though. So I left my name and number with all the resident managers at nearby apartment and condo complexes. And then I walked around my neighborhood asking people if the dog looked familiar. I met one man who said he'd seen the dog running around our neighborhood 4 nights ago. (Poor puppy! That could mean he hadn't eaten for days.) I plan on putting up found dog flyers this evening.

I took him home and fed him. He wolfed down the food and water. And I gave him a bath because he was filthy. Scout's still not sure what to think of the little guy (he's only 10 lbs!). But Ben and I decided if his owner hasn't claimed him within 30 days we are going to try to adopt him. We've been wanting to get Scout another dog for sometime now. And the opportunity was just thrown in our laps.
