Here is a link to a Yosemite Half Dome Photo Gallery site. Some of the pictures give you a better idea of what climbing the cables was really like. Since we took a picture of the cables from the bottom looking up it's hard to tell just how steep the climb really is.

Dad said he lost a few items on that hike. The items just went tumbling down, down, down... glad he wasn't the one to tumble! lol!
