Ben and I have also visited the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor and paid our respects to our fallen military comrades. We went to the memorial on my 21st birthday (October 31, 2005). It was a birthday to remember.
A boat took us out to the memorial which was located above the sunken U.S.S. Arizona Tomb. Portions of the ship were still visible from the memorial. One wall of the memorial was covered with the names of all the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines that went down with the ship.
Visiting the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial was definitely an experience of a lifetime.
